Newport Improved their positional play to dominate the rest of the half. The equaliser coming from a short corner leading to Owen Chaplin’s well placed shot. Ludlow's early attacks in the second half were nullified as Newport regained control of possession for long periods. The second goal was scored by Jon Jones, rewarded for his persistence in front of goal. In response Ludlow launched several attacks which were repelled and turned into further pressure on their goal with Tom Anderson leading the break outs. Yet another short corner led to a goal from a deflected shot by Ash Williams . Skipper Paul Gerrie kept the team 'at it' when Ludlow pushed hard in the last 15mins of the game forcing a few corners. |
