Match Report | NEWPORT A hockey team turned six shooters in the friendly against Ludlow, winning 6 - 2. Max Pierzchalla led the way with four goals, while Fred Mardsen and simon Bullock also got on the score sheet. They dominated the early parts of the game taking a quick 3 - 0 lead thanks to some clinical finishing. As the first half progressed, however Ludlow grew in confidence, found form on the ball and mangaed to steal a goal befor half-time. After the break, Ludlow kept up the pressure but it was Newport who grabbed another goal making it 4 - 1 before adding another shortly after through a short corner. The 5 - 1 score line didn't dampen the Ludlow spirit and were rewarded with a goal. Newport kept pressing and due to an unexpected error in the Ludlow defence, were put through for their sixth. |
